THAT Pink is excited about our partnership with Samuel U Rodgers Health Clinic in progress, encouraging the importance of mammograms for early detection  Studies show that a 5 plus years survival rate with early diagnosis is almost 100%. The average cost of a mammogram is approximately $100 and can go as high as $200.  Most insurance plans cover the cost of screening mammograms. Even though several facilities offer low-cost or financial assistance for those who qualify, even the lowest cost of mammagrams may prevent some women from receivng this necessary screening if they cannot afford it.

As a strong believer in the importance of early detection, part of THAT Pink's mission is to provide help for women in need. We are commited to assisting with the cost of mammograms for women who are uninsured or cannot afford them. The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect the disease in its early stages.

If you're concerned about when to start breast cancer screening and how often to repeat it, work with your doctor to make an informed decision. Together you can decide what's best for you based on your personal preferences, your medical history and your individual breast cancer risk.

Talk with your doctor about:

  • Your personal risk of breast cancer

  • The benefits, risks and limitations of screening mammograms

  • The role of breast self-exams for breast awareness in helping you become more familiar with your breasts, which may help you identify abnormalities or changes

For as little as a $25 tax deductible donation, you can assist with the cost of a mammogram for  an uninsured or under-insured woman. Make that donation today.

                      THANK YOU EASTERN STARS

The 'That Pink Tea' sponsored by the ladies of the Kansas City Eastern Star #110 on May 22, 2016 was a beautiful success.  THAT Pink was chosen by the Eastern Stars as their focus charity for 2016.  THAT Pink received a donation from the oldest and highly respected black sorority group in America.

The Kansas City  men of the Mason Lodge #24 awarded THAT Pink with a donation as well. The donations are so appreciated and will benefit THAT Pinks mission to support under-served women in the community.
